Welcome to our site. By now I hope that you have seen many reasons for you to list your team, membership, league, award, retail outlet or whatever it is you do, related to sports, here on Worldsportfinder.com.

We are proud of our site and the 4 PLUS years that we have spent programming and devising ways to make this all work for you. It was a huge task, but well worth the effort. I know that there were many times that I wished for a site like this and we know there are many people out there who have been just dying for a site like this. In fact that's how this site came to be. I was on a cross-country family vacation and my son's wanted to visit some stock car tracks and hockey arenas (our families favourite sports).

Sure we were able to find all the big league stuff, but we wanted to find the amateur and grass roots events and venues. Like many of you have experienced, I didn't know the local sanctioning bodies to look up in the phone book, nor did I know the name of the places I was looking for. The result was an unsuccessful trek across the country in search of these sporting events - not to worry though, we spent a week at Disney and the boys soon forgot, but I didn't.

After a couple of weeks at home, I was meeting with a business associate one evening and we were discussing the trip we had been on, he is also an avid racing enthusiast and heavily involved with the NASCAR series, painting many of the drivers helmets - but that's another story. I explained our problems we had experienced and he agreed that there was no easy way to find what I was looking for on the Internet, unless I knew some specifics.

We were having dinner and discussing various things and one of the topics of discussion was ebay, suddenly I realized the potential business that was staring me in the face.
